KELOWNA— August 25, 2015 — Festfeed™ today announced the partnership with The University of British Columbia Okanagan Student’s Union for their on-campus events this year. The whole Festfeed team is really excited to launch the first public iteration of the next generation experience for social networking on iOS. Events are a big part of our lives and what better way to experience events on campus with Festfeed fully integrated.
“I, along the rest of us at the Student Union, could not be more excited to see Festfeed rolled out come September! The Students’ Union is all about enhancing the student experience at university, and Festfeed will help enhance everyone’s experience at our events, as well as more easily connect with each other. With this app being created by UBCO students, we can’t wait to be the first campus to be using Festfeed! Stay tuned for BIG things to come in our partnership with these guys!” said Layne Richardson, UBCSUO Vice-President Services.
Festfeed’s focus is to provide a great experience, in a light-weight application that is easy to use. We provide a great messaging platform, private social networks for you and your friends to share content, location service so you don’t get lost, a unified schedule that can be linked to an event and many more features we can’t wait for you to experience.
“We really didn’t want to release Festfeed till we had a firm foundation to really let our users experience how great the platform is, and that begins with great events attached to it.” said Hilton Routley, Festfeed’s CEO and Founder.
To start, at this years UBCO Frosh event you will see Festfeed attached as the official application. On campus you will see a variety of activations through Festfeed to help introduce everyone to the platform. Look for the team in purple shirts with the Festfeed logo. Just remember, “If it’s an event. It’s on Festfeed.”
